I have been so burnt out on work lately and have resented my cell phone for so long that I decided I would draw my biggest enemy. I despise this piece of technology, I think it has detracted from my quality of life, and I think it evil. Evil, evil, evil. It makes my cheeks and temples hot after talking for more than 5 minutes, which convinces me that I am going to get some kind of tumor in my head...it's ring makes my chest tighten everytime it goes off...it is a burden. And yes, I turn the ringer off and sometimes turn the power off but that just means that I have to listen to tens of messages later. And then call people back. Ugh. Anyway, I rarely leave much of a comment on my blog but I had to vent. I will say that drawing the phone was a nice distraction...until the damn thing rang while I was drawing it! I swear it was mocking me. I can't win!

YOu made and nice drawing in your frustration! I understand about the phone....sometimes people are so upset that I dared to not answer my cell! As if I am morally bound to answer it every time it rings...not.
Its a great drawing though - so something positive came out of it !
Cant you just answere every other call instead of every one?
hope things improve soon!

I agree. What about those people who walk around with those things permanently attached to their ears? What is THAT? I work in a library ... would you believe we have to TELL people NOT to use their cell phones? DONT GET ME STARTED..
nice drawing, by the way.

I SO KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!!!! I can SO empathize! My gripe is all the redtape and paperwork!! Buried in it!! Love the way you've done the phone ... and good luck!
Great drawing and too true about the phone-exactly why I will never own one. I have an answering machine at home and it's super easy to hit the delete button, oops! Message gone...maybe they'll call back. Maybe I'll think about answering... :oP
Great drawing Sali. Perhaps now you can draw that fish answering it for you!
